Mianyang is located in northwest Sichuan Province. It is the second largest city in Sichuan and enjoys a long history stretching back to The Three Kingdoms period. Today, Mianyang is known as the “Western Silicon Valley of China” and is the heart of the Chengdu Chongqing Economic Zone. Mianyang High Tech Development Zone is set in the western section of Mianyang where it is renowned for its innovation and the nurturing of high-tech industries.
