Habita, Mexico City, a Member of Design Hotels┢

Wrapped in a sheath of frosted glass, Habita raised eyebrows in Mexico City when it first opened in 2000 in the fashionable Polanco district. Glass and light are the design leitmotifs, acting to shroud guests from prying eyes and to create an ethereal atmosphere in this temple of modernism. The guestrooms contain only a bed, Eames chairs, and a cantilevered plane of glass serving as a table, while everything else is concealed behind a paneled wall. Outdoors, the mezzanine bar overlooks the rooftop pool and has panoramic views of the city skyline
